Assistive Technologies and strategies designed to assist individuals who are low-verbal or not able to produce natural speech are referred to as Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). The ability to communicate is essential to living a full life. This section explores both  national and local (Oregon) strategies and resources related to AAC because Communication Rocks! 

Assistive Technology For academic success

Learning is fun and brains hate to be bored. Living a full life means accessing high quality formal (school) and informal (think: video games, field trips, vacations, hobbies) experiences that entertain us, shape our identity, create meaningful membership in community and support occupation. This section focuses on formal or academic learning and the many ways assistive technology can ensure access to these necessary learning experiences.
